Welcome to the March 2005 edition of the online version of the Grizzly Flat Gazette.
History/Purpose of this internet-periodical: The Grizzly Flat Gazette was born in 1903 (really 2003) as a fun Christmas card (December 1903 Grizzly Flat Gazette) sent by Laurie & Eric Paulsen to their friends and family. The following Christmas Laurie & Eric followed up with a second Grizzly Flat Gazette Christmas card(December 1904 Grizzly Flat Gazette). In late December Grizzly Flats Community Church member Specialist Nate Richer, who is currently serving in Iraq commented in an e-mail to Laurie and Eric that he regularly goes to Laurie's mother's webzine the Robinson Report to look for stories about Grizzly Flats. After discussing the idea with Pastor Robert Wheatley, the Paulsens decided to launch the online version of the Grizzly Flat Gazette, as a means by which to provide stories about Grizzly Flats to Nate and others inside and outside our community who might be interested in our goings on. We encourage editorial submissions and photographs from Grizzly Flats community.
